Resort Overview

Soneva Jani

Soneva Jani sits in the Medhufaru lagoon of Noonu Atoll, a small private archipelago made up of Medhufaru Island and five islets, four of which are left undeveloped. Its 58 villas divide into 51 overwater pool villas and 7 island villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms.

Most villas pair a private pool with a slide into the lagoon, and several have a retractable roof over the master bedroom. Dining ranges from Japanese teppanyaki above the lagoon at Director's Cut to plant-based cooking in the garden at So Wild, and children aged 4 to 17 have complimentary access to The Den.

Getting There

Seaplane from Malé direct to the resort takes about 40 minutes, either on Soneva's own seaplane or a shared Manta Air flight that may stop en route. Alternatively, a 30 minute domestic flight to Maafaru Airport is followed by a 10 minute speedboat ride. Guests should land in Malé by 15:30 for a same-day seaplane, and seaplanes should be booked at least 72 hours ahead.
